Day 111 - Nov 20 – Wednesday - Trellis Bay – LED Day

DAY 111 - Nov 20 – Wednesday - Trellis Bay – LED Day
Woke up and charged the batterys with Star engine..  generator to fill up the laptops..  Up Anchor at 9am over to Marina Cay for fuel fill and water..
We have been at least 6 days on water, so it must be low..
A boat Slow Dancing, Pat from Edmonton has engine issues and asked us to monitor 16 if he needed help getting out of the harbour… he had no issue.
Docking was perfect..  Fuel fill 56 Gallons..  Calculated burn rate of .5 gal/hr  but we are mostly idling charging batterys..  Water was 60 gallons.. cant be right?  We are conserving, but we hold 250 gallons??  We always go through it in less than a week.
Did he read the meter wrong, or are we good at conserving water??  Time will tell!
No issue leaving the dock..  a little trouble finding a good anchoring spot..
We needed to move from near the shore.. too buggy…
First spot.. anchor held, but too close to others..
Second spot.. anchor wont hold..  tried 3 times.
Thirt spot.. lots of room..  can see an sandy spot..  Anchors hold.. yes!!
Both anchors down..
Dingy over to Carabbee to check batterys.. 6 volts..  going to need another battery to get her going..
What a cool boat..  scary dirty.. I brought beer and didn’t even have one.. but the boat is cool!  Huge pilot house..  engine is massive!
Over to some moorings with the GoPro to check things out..   Plan might be to put it on a Last resort mooring..  the one we checked was not good..  Rope is super thin…
Back to the boat.. Allie and I changed out almost every light to LED..  We bought them online from China for $1 each..  work really good!  Nice to keep the brass fixtures and just changout the bulb part..  Power consumption must be very low now!
Call from Cay Electronics..  Charger is working fine??  Thinking the Link 2000 is the issue now?? Which is on my boat… Duhhh..  Anyway he said you can bypass that and the charger will just work..
Up at 4am to check the anchor.. Wholly crap looks like we dragged..  Looking closer, maybe not..  Boats have all turned 180 degrees..  After an hour internet/checking the anchor..  boats turn back around.. all is good! Holding very well!
