Nov 17 Sunday – Trellis Bay – Full Moon

Boats are coming into the bay like
crazy!!! I didn’t know you could anchor
that close together!! A few went
aground..
Full Moon Party last night..
Literally 100's of boats came into the harbour…
It was like March 24 at the campground with people arriving every few
minutes.. cranking the tunes and partying!
The sky was bright by not only the moon, but huge
fires that are lite on the water inside of large steel structures of 'art!'
Good time by all… MobeJumpers were there….
these are people that travel the islands and dance on stilts.. pretty
interesting!
Called it a night and motored the dingy back to Island
Dancer.. As I took one step onto the back swim platform, I knew
something was wrong… very wrong!
The anchor has just at that very moment broke loose
from its holding.. we were heading very quickly for a bunch of boats and the
beach!!
It was weird the timing!!..
Fired up the engines.. motored back up to where we
started, and dropped both anchors..
We had dove the anchor earlier in the day and it was
set fairly well.. So we learned, if you have 2 anchors, why not set em
both!.. Lucky eh!!!
