Feb 14th - Valentines Day!!! Sleep on a Tug!

We took the dingy over to the airport..   Locked it up in a new location as they were doing some pile driving.
Met up with Brendan and Tracy for dinner etc .
Coming back, the dingy was moved..  they cut the big chain.. and locked up the gas tank somewhere else
We went on the pink tug and talked to Carl.. he called the guy responsible...
Although we were told to park the dingy there..  when the pile driving was done, they went to move the boat back and were pissed we were in their spot so moved it.
Now it was 9pm and the guy with the key was pissed drunk across town...
No way back to the boat!!!
I slept on the pink Tug!  it was AWESOME!  Carl is sOOOO nice!
Girls went back to Tracy and Brendans condo and slept there.. which was really nice of them!
Morning brought keys and a boat! 
What an adventure!

Feb 10 - Robins Back is BAD !!!

 

Feb 10 – Robin’s back is really bad..  we called Eelco and got his Mom to help us out..   We went to a phsio guy here and got some drugs..  Gary has also been helping.

She has to stay on her back for 3 days.

Jessi and Timbo made stirfry from scratch.. it was awesome!...

Back cracker suggested pulling the boat and flying home for surgery...

No way man... I want another opinion.. lots of them

 

We decided to get an MRI done...

It showed just minor issues... a tear from a motion much like swinging a golf club.. we know it was pulling the anchor chain!

Back cracker still thought she needed surgery..

MRI young doctors said no way... its no big deal... stretch

Send the pics to Sarnia...  they also said stretch...  look on youtube!

Guess what.. it worked!

A few days later she was MUCH BETTER...

and it just went away!

Feb 1 - 9 Guy Parker Shows up! Timbo's Birthday! Jessi!!!!

Feb 1st – Saturday – Doctor Diesel here.. turbo installed.  Touring around all day

Feb 3^rd – Timbo’s Birthday…  Lunch on the dutch/French boarder from grocery store..  cab..  Simpson Bridge ceaser- simpson bay beers – Philipsburg rum and cokes..  license plates for guy..  swimming in the ocean…  curry in a hurry!  Great DAY

 

Feb 4^th – Tuesday – Grocery shopping day for the guys!...  Over to Peg Legs..  got a ride down to the Harley Place..  ETA boys were in town today and drank all the beers!   Over to the gas station to fix that!.. Shopping was a hit..  we were delivered back to the dingy..   Guy made an awesome chicken pot pie!

Feb 7 – Friday – Doctor Diesel was by to look at the shifter on Island dancer..  Initially thought it was the gearbox not going into gear,but we are ok there.. level was in wrong position…  Removed the water pump from the generator.

Made a great dinner on board of meat ball macaronie..

Jessi showed up tonight at 10pm!!!!

 

Feb 8 – Last full day with Guy..   Tracy is coming in today to meet Brendan… 

Beach day at the resort!..  Volleyball, beach ping pong..  gas station beers..  we did it all..  lots of fun!..    Took Brendan over to get his rental car..  We all bet on the other side of the bay..  Over to Mexican food place for a snack and $2.50 margaritas..…  Left Brendan, and we went to Lagoonies for dinner..  Guy, Robin and Allie took the bus..  JEssi and I bet them. 

 

Feb 9 – Took Guy Parker to the airport.. had to do 2 dingy runs (actually 3)..  too much weight for the dingy with the wind conditions.  He checked in, and we all went to the beach to see a 747 land..  Then to Mexican food place!...  Back to the boat and a quiet night..  Went over for bagets and a couple beers..  Robin came over for a walk on the beach.

Jan 25 - 31 - KATHY ARRIVES

Sunday Jan 25^th – Kathy and Tyler arrive..  Pick them up in the dingy.. Over to the boat for dinner

Taking Kathy and Tyler around the island…  some activites included renting a car for a few days.. 

 

Monday – Lasonia night… Eelco was supposed to come but didn’t make it.

 

Tue – picked up a rental car..  Brendan and Tyler dropped me off at the pink tug..  I met them back at the French bakery with the car.

Went to Orient Bay for a beach day.. – stopped in grand case on the way back for martigras night.

 

Thursday – Up to Marigot, walking around.. Brendan checked out a rental boat..  Had a beer with SnowWhite – Over to zip lining..  GREAT TIME..  Brendan, Tyler, Allie and Timbo swung through the trees for a couple hours..

 

Friday – decided to Kept the car another day… 747 came in and we went to sea it..  found an awesome Mexican place…

Went grocery shopping at the big store near the causeway bridge..  

 

Saturday Jan 31^st – Kathy leaves – Guy Arrives with Tim bits.. ha… quick trip to the beach then onboard to chit chat (Returned the rental car)

Jan 23-24 Hangin out with Elco!

 

Friday 23rd – Lagoonies for dinner – Tried to meet Eelco there but we were early and he was late..  Band was on!

 

Saturday 24^th – Fireworks at the new bridge..  hung out on Eelco’s boat.. met his family.. Great Night!  Earlier in the day we met Eelco on his boat for a  few drinks.

 

Jan 18th – 23rd - Found Shimpy’s

Jan 18^th – 23^rd – Getting to know St. Martin.. Found Shimpy’s…  SnowWhite.. Doctor Diesel (New turbo, cover plate removed from alternator.. etc), Sails off and repaired…Found lagoonies for Saturday night  fish and chips.. awesome!  French grocery store.. Paddleboarding..  Gas station beers..  French bakery..  Beach days at the airport!  $1.00 bus to Philipsburg…  Neat place!

Jan 17h Passage over to St. Martin

Jan 17h – 18^th – Passage over to St. Martin…  Sure is handy having Brendan on board..   Blew the alternator belt..  Check in was fun.. Lots of Mega Boats!  Cool Place!

Added notes 2015:
Had to rig up the alternator for the passage...  hole for the bolt was worn oval... knowning we HAD to get to St. Maartin to pick up my sister, we used broken off drill bits and filled the slot.
Part way over the belt started to come loose... we used some ropes as a tensioner to delay the ultimate demise
9 miles from St. Maartin the belt broke.. engine overheated..  sails up...
We changed the belt, refilled the antifreeze..
Second motor wasnt working.. wouldnt rev up...  ( found the problem later... think underwater!)

Motored in... cut off Steve Jobs megaship...  bought the captain a beer later at the bar!
